About Kathryn Roberts Parker

Hi, I’m Kathryn and I’m currently undertaking my PhD at The University of Sydney under the supervision of Professor Liam Semler in the Department of English and Dr. Alan Maddox at Sydney Conservatorium of Music. I am a scholar with the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for the History of Emotions, exploring music and festival culture in Shakespearean comedy. You can read more about my project here.

In 2014, I studied a Masters in Shakespeare Studies at King's College London and Shakespeare's Globe Theatre on the John Monash Scholarship, now recognised as Australia's most prestigious award for international postgraduate study. I also hold a Graduate Diploma in Secondary Education from Excelsia College, a Bachelor of Arts with first class Honours and a Bachelor of Music majoring on the piano from the University of Sydney.
