My first love as an academic and creative artist is music. I am an experienced performer, music educator and composer for theatre, and my current PhD research is focused on music in Shakespeare’s Comedies. Check out everything I do below!
PhD Research: Music and Festival Culture in Shakespearean Comedy
I am exploring the connections between music, theatre and traditional festivals in early modern England in my PhD at the University of Sydney and Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Join me in learning a sixteenth century instrument, find out more about the history of music and theatre, and translating a Shakespearean experience of music in contemporary practice.
I am passionate about music education, having learned piano myself since I was 6 years of age. I currently teach undergraduates at Sydney Conservatorium of Music and run workshops around Sydney in music performance, sound design and composition. I also teach individual music lessons at my home studio. Find out how you can engage me in a workshop or have a private lesson!
